Plot Twist Flow and Feel

I note to myself (and you) to help me flow with these ups and downs.

Mijita,

Sit down, mijita. Take a breath. It's been a long week.

A week of celebration.
Feeling the intoxicating bliss of love.
Getting into the school program you have been dreaming about for so many years.

A week of loss.
The death of Phil.
And his death making you think about the mortality of your own dad.
Letting go of that vision you had of a future together with someone who doesn't want the same thing.

A week of stress.
That big tax payment coming out of your account.
Wondering how you will pay for school.
Wondering how you will make a living while you are in school.
Wondering how you will pay all your bills.

A week of heart-opening in so many ways.
Writing about us, your ancestors.
Writing about losing us.
Writing about being us.
Writing through the tears and smiles and the beautiful memories.
Writing about healing through us.

And through it all you are doing your best to focus.
To make good on your commitments.
To be responsible.
To work. To be there for and with family.
To be there for and with friends.

I see you, mijita. You are enough. You are worthy.
We hold you in your joy and your struggles.
We hold you as you sob and as you laugh.
We protect you.
You are moving through life as we can no longer.
In your humanness.
Your skin.
Your heart.
Your senses are alive.
Your emotions are alive.
You are present with it all no longer numbed by alcohol.
As uncomfortable as it is to feel all of your feelings.
We see you. You are doing it. Beautifully. Fully.
Gratefully. Fully.

You are worthy. You are worthy.
Don't forget. You are worthy.

Emotions can be hard.
Change, desired and not, is hard.
And it is uncomfortable.
And it is real and true.
And you've got this.

Take care of yourself, mijita.
Feel all your feelings.
Flow with the realness of what is alive.
Flow with change.
You don't have to hold everything up.
Release it, sweet one.
Let everything flow, including your tears,
including your gratitude.
Nurture yourself.
Rest.

And with the dawn comes a new opportunity to live.
To feel protected by us, your ancestors.
To use your gifts.
To give your gift of presence to the world.
To feel your feelings.
To find gratitude.
To connect with the love in your heart.
To be love.
To be gratitude.
To be peace.

Con amor,
Tus Antepasados
