Problem Solving Without Focusing on the Problem


 
Imagine if you walked through life shining light on things you wanted to see more of.

 

Shining a Light – What Will You Find?

We notice problems at every turn. That is not a problem. Noticing is good. Discernment is a skill. But after we have acknowledged a problem we can switch out of this problem focus.

What if instead of looking deeper and deeper into the problem we used all our skills to investigate all the times the problem was not happening or not as concerning? What was different then? Who was involved? What did we do? How did we feel? And most importantly in what ways can we do more of that so that we can eliminate or decrease the problem?

We can focus our energy, skills and strengths on what we actually want instead of on becoming an expert on problems. This is prevention and positivity and gratitude in action. What a smart and beautiful way to live. Shining a light on what works.
