Boots and sweaters and scarves
As Fall Approaches
The weather has turned cold. The leaves are changing and the mountains even got snow! I love fall clothes, so warm and cozy. Socks and boots and knitwear. Thinking of this reminded me of how grateful I am to have a closet full of clothing. Always enough to keep warm no matter the weather. Even enough to be stylish and have fun with my looks.
Last week we talked about appreciating what we have instead of complaining about what we don’t have and clothes are a great way to practice that. When the seasons change I am often tempted to purchase new clothes or shoes. But I already have so much. So I will look at the clothes I have with a new perspective and a heart of gratitude.
I have never known a time that I didn’t have enough clothes to keep myself warm and for that I am so very grateful. I know not everyone is that privileged. This video is a reminder of that and I reminder that the clothes that I take for granted can make a huge difference to someone who is in need.
Think about all the ways you can practice generosity and kindness by giving to someone who is in need at this time of year. And challenge yourself to do one of those things this week.
I appreciate the shit I have because I know what it’s like to have nothing.
